A prominent Islamic Scholar in the Country, Dr Jalo Jalingo has lauded the Chief of Army Staff, General Christopher Musa on war against banditry.
Dr Jalingo is the National Chairman Council of Ulama, Jama’atul Izalatul Bid’a Wa’ikamatus Sunnah.
In a statement made available to this platform, Jalingo said the Army Chief must be commended for giving a directive to soldiers to take the fight against bandits to their hideouts.
According to the Cleric, the order has yielded positive results as recently over 100 bandits have been neutralized by the Nigeria Army in Zamfara State.
He called on the security agencies to intensify efforts towards addressing criminality across the country for people and development.
Jalo prayed to God to guard the Nigerian security forces in the task of eliminating criminals and secure the country from miscreants tendencies.
